Get certified to work in hospitality in NSW. This short course delivers the nationally recognised unit SITHFAB021 – Provide responsible service of alcohol, a requirement for anyone working with or around alcohol in NSW.

This training provides you with the legal, practical, and professional knowledge to serve alcohol responsibly in venues such as bars, restaurants, and licensed events.

Entry Requirements

Language, Literacy, Numeracy & Digital (LLN&D) Skills – Learner Acknowledgement

To successfully participate in this short course, learners are expected to have a minimum level of language, literacy, numeracy, and digital (LLN&D) skills. While this is not an entry requirement, it is important for learners to acknowledge that the course involves:

  • Basic reading and comprehension – to understand written instructions, course materials, and safety information
  • Basic writing skills – to complete simple forms, assessments, or workplace documents
  • Basic numeracy skills – such as counting, measuring, or interpreting simple data relevant to the course
  • Basic digital literacy – including the ability to use a computer or tablet, access online resources, and operate common software or learning platforms (as applicable)

These foundational skills will support learners to engage effectively in the course content, participate in learning activities, and complete any required tasks or assessments. Learners who are concerned about their LLN&D abilities are encouraged to speak with our staff for further guidance or support options prior to enrolling.

Students may be assessed through one or more of the following general methods of assessment that may apply for each unit. Each of the selected methods must be completed/deemed satisfactory, as each method is only a partial completion.
